Overview

As the largest faculty in University of Malaya, with locally and internationally feted researchers, Faculty of Science serves as the main research center for Science and Technology in the region.

The ISI Web of Science Database issued by the University of Malaya Library showed that University of Malaya has the highest number of publications among the five research universities in the country. In addition, more than 25% of the publication in University of  Malaya is contributed by the Faculty of Science.

The faculty believes that it is through research that ideas become reality and to emphasize the vision of the faculty to be an internationally renowned institution of higher learning in research, innovation, publication and teaching. The Faculty of Science believes that the best culture builds the best institution. Likewise,the best institution build the best culture. It is this goal that motivates our researchers to publish internationally acknowledged work and to be listed in the ISI Web of Science Database.
