Introduction

The Master of Science in Instrumental Analytical Chemistry, formally known as Master of Science (Analytical Chemistry & Instrumental Analysis) is a coursework-based postgraduate programme offered by Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. This academic programme has been accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) which is the world’s leading chemistry community and professional associations. The accreditation is a mark of assurance that the programme is in line with international quality and standards to enhance the graduate prospects and employment opportunities. This programme aims to cater for the growing needs of modern day industry which require competent personnel who are knowledgeable in the handling of a sophisticated range of analytical instruments as well as possessing the interpretative skills necessary to solve complex chemistry problems. The courses are based on modern instrumental analytical chemistry and designed to address the needs of testing laboratories and research organizations.
