Research Grant Clinic

The Research Management Unit of Faculty of Science had organized a “Research Grant Clinic” on 11th Aug 2016 (Thursday).

The workshop sessions were as follow:

 Workshop Session 1:

Talks by Prof Dr Wan Haliza Abd Majid on “Application and Evaluation Process of a Research Grant under MOHE”

Talks by Prof Dr Ramesh T Subramaniam on “A Personal Experience in Obtaining Research Grants from the Private Sector”

 Workshop Session 2:

Group discussion by the participants on the topics given such as Government Grant, International Grant and Industrial Grant


On 17 June 2016 (Friday), Faculty of Science received a delegation from Science and Technology, Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU), Thailand. The delegation was led by Dr. Bundit Unyong (Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Affairs) and Dr. Peerapong Puengyam (Chemistry Lecturer) and included Lecturers, General Administrative Officers and undergraduate students.

The purpose of this visit was:

  • To observe academic operation of the Faculty of Science, UM
  • To visit the Institute of Biological Sciences under the mandate of Assoc. Prof.  Dr. Rosli Ramli and Dr. Azidah Abdul Aziz.
