  • To become a center of excellence and a leading reference in teaching and learning and research in science fields.
OBJECTIVE QUALITY

PT01 - TEACHING & LEARNING

  1. Increase the number of postgraduate students in various fields of science at the rate of 5% per year until it reaches the target of 1: 1 ratio of postgraduates and undergraduates.

  2. Ensure 90% of postgraduate students acquire  their degree in an academic session within the maximum period prescribed.

  3. Ensure that at least 40% of the undergraduates obtain a CGPA of 3.0 during graduation.

PT02 - RESEARCH


  1. Ensure that at least 60% of the lecturers at the Faculty of Science carry out research with funding obtained from the financial resources within or outside the University of Malaya.

  2. Publish at least 350 publications per year in recognized academic journals (refereed journal).

  3. Ensure that at least 60% of the Faculty members research outcomes are published in journals listed under ISI.
